Ricardo López Alonso

Ricardo López Alonso is the leader of our team and the designated broker (License No. BK3360455). Ricardo is a talented professional with over 30 years of experience in marketing and sales. He earned a degree in Marketing and Mass Communications from King’s College and an MBA from Syracuse University. His specialization in statistics and market analysis led him to New York City, where he worked for an advertising agency and the commercial office of the Spanish Embassy. In this role, Ricardo served as the Director of the Consumer Products Department, reporting directly to the General Consul of Spain. His responsibilities included advising Spanish export companies on how to market their products in the United States.

In the 1990s, Ricardo began his career in real estate as an investor and also established his own commercial consulting and market research firm. He consulted for many major companies in the United States and Latin America, specializing in advising on the sale of products and services within the Latino community. He served on the board of directors and was the President of the International Association of Qualitative Research Consultants (QRCA).

In 2014, Ricardo moved to Florida and decided to fully focus on real estate. He initially specialized in long-term investments and property renovations. He obtained his sales associate license in Florida and later became a licensed broker. With his extensive experience in the Latino community, Ricardo recognized the needs of Hispanics in Brevard County and established the Hoven Latino team of Hoven Real Estate to educate and assist Latinos in the area with buying and selling real estate. He later founded his own real estate agency, Mar y Sol Properties.

Ricardo is the broker of Mar y Sol Properties, an agency founded with the mission of being different. He is also licensed as a real estate instructor (License No. ZH1003698) and is a faculty member at A+ Schools of Real Estate, where he teaches real estate licensing courses. Passionate about ethics, Ricardo has served on the Professionalism and Ethics Committee of the Space Coast Association of REALTORS®.

As a data analyst and technology pioneer, Ricardo is leveraging technology to enhance the real estate business. His background in quantitative market analysis and population trends allows him to offer a uniquely informed real estate buying experience.

Ricardo has a mixed Latino heritage. His background is predominantly Spanish, with his paternal grandfather born in Galicia. Ricardo was born in Venezuela to Cuban parents, raised in Puerto Rico, and considers himself Boricua. Much of his family resides in Costa Rica, and two of his children were born in Guatemala. Ricardo has worked extensively with the Mexican community, and his previous consulting work took him to nearly every country in Latin America.
